Looking for work.

Hello all you lovely blog readers! I thought i'd throw it out there that i'm looking for part time work for the summer. Hubby works for the school district...and all you teachers know...summertime is tough. Plus we've got plane tickets to purchase for a wedding in Hawaii in October and if i want to go to Silver Bella this year...well i better start saving right now! I have no idea where to apply. I am clueless. I just want to love what i'm doing and love the people i'm working for. Is that too much to ask for?? lol! I just thought i'd throw it out to you local blog readers just in case you might have any ideas for me.

And just an update regarding Jennifer Pebbles! I sent her the Baby Dearest kit very late. Last week as a matter of fact. So i told her to taker he time creating and we will all be patient. :-)

Oh Ellen

My friends and i had a great time going to see a taping of the Ellen Show. We went to Scrap N Yap and out to lunch...then went to Paper Source in Old Town Pasadena...then onto the taping and out to margaritas after! It was just the break we all needed. The taping was really fun....i kind of knew what to expect since i used to work there. The guest was Terrance Howard...who is exciting and all...but i was really hoping we'd get some amazing celeb like Brad Pitt or someone who is in the gossip mags. lol! But all in all we had a wonderful time. And i'm so glad we got some pictures of us! We rarely do that. :-) Thank you so much Cheri and Allison...and of course my momma for going with me and making such a fun day! Love you girls!!!

Bad couple of weeks...

I usually don't post depressing news on my blog...i only like sharing good news. But i suppose life is full of good and bad...and maybe i can cope with the bad better by blogging. There are a number of things that have been eating away at me last week and this week.

#1 Bank Fraud. Someone used my checking account fraudulently about 2 weeks ago and our financial life has been a mess ever since. They charged a few thousand dollars. I still have no debit card...WAMU takes FOREVER sending these kinds of important things. We have a new account...so now i get to change all of my automatic billing info on every website you can think of...and make countless phone calls to update my info. My cell phone was turned off once already because the cc info was incorrect. I did not ask for this!! Oye...but oh well. It's bound to happen to everyone at least once...i guess.

#2 Someone hit my car. It was parked in the parking lot...i was not even in the car. Thankfully the person who hit the car was honest and left his info. But now we are dealing with an insurance company from hell. We were quoted a large amount of money to fix the damaged bumper and possibly needing a new paint job for the entire car...the agent we are working with is not agreeing with us. yay! Why...i'm having a little pity party over here.

#3 Car battery just randomly died last week. What else.

#4 Moving sucks. I still have SO SO much to unpack. Every time i get to what i think is the last box i see 1 more stack in the back yard that never even made it in the house! yay. I still have yet to discover a few boxes of product and my phone charger is missing.

#5 Shipping delays. I had a box of product stolen from my front door (old address). Nothing can be done at this point. Yeah, i can report a claim...or whatever the heck you call it...but how many weeks is that going to take? And i just didn't realize how upside down moving would turn my life! If you are expecting a Baby Dearest Kit, May Party Hat Kit, or placed an order the last few days of April...PLEASE forgive me for the delays. I have a carrier coming to pick up every last one of those boxes tomorrow at noon. I have already corresponded with a few of you via email. All i can say is sorry about a million times. You have no idea how disappointing the last few weeks have been and i just hope you all know that i am trying my hardest to get everything out ASAP. If you are waiting for a Creativity Fairy Kit..they are shipping tomorrow and Monday.

Ok...so enough of all that...i'm taking a prozac (lol) and moving on!! I have some yummy new product to post tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for that. And also i  am posting a kit preview and photos from last weekend later tonight!

Can your marriage survive building Ikea furniture?

Rory and i decided that we'd be very interested in seeing statistics. Not only did our relationship survive 4 hours of building Ikea furniture...but i am proud to say we built the most emotionally intensive piece of furniture...the Ikea chest of drawers. Duunnnt dunnnt ddduuunnnnt! There were words exchanged...glares too. But most of all i think it was the "oh so complicated" ...and wordless... pamphlet of directions that kept falling apart because of the lack of binding. We skipped step #5-8...scratching our heads for 15 minutes trying to figure out how we got from 2 pieces of flat particle board to a full frame...then realized one of the pages had fallen out and flew under the bed. Can you say F-U-N?! But now it's all over and we are enjoying our new dresser...and new kitchen table (which is actually patio furniture but looks OH SO CUTE in my new kitschy kitchen!!).

Also just in...this, this, this, and this. Placed an order for this for the bathroom and these and this for the kitchen...and hopefully will have some new home photos to share with you all very soon! I LOVE our new place. I go to sleep at night with the biggest grin...it feels so much "cooler" than the other apt. Don't know how to describe it...but i feel like a different person in this place. A better person. I guess a few orders from Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters can do that for ya! lol!

And i was just blog surfing and found these amazing photos from this past weekend at Kim's and Sweetpeas! (Suzanne's blog) I can't wait to get my camera back from Kim...then i will have more pics to share...but until then...check out the fun we had...belly dancers and all!! I sure could use another one of those vodka mango shots! MMmmmm good. And amazing Indian food...henna art on my left hand...and that was just Friday night! More to come soon...so many friendships blossomed over great food and FAB classes!

So much to blog about...

...and no pictures to share! I left my camera at Kim's this weekend so i will update the blog hopefully very soon with a fabulous review for AAA and much more! Flea market finds...Ellen show photos...and more!

Laundry, paperwork, bills, craft projects...dishes, shipments, orders...the blank is sooooo many things right now. I feel like i was caught up about  a week ago...and in just a few days i fell majorly behind. I guess thats what i get for taking a day or two to craft!

Anyways...i have a positive attitude about the next month or so and i am moving forward with many things to look forward to. So now that i have completely set up my new office at home...we decided to MOVE! LOL! Oh isn't it funny how things work out. Yeah really funny. But this move is nothing but exciting. We were offered a FAB deal on a newly renovated bigger apartment in the same complex we presently live in...SAME rate we are paying now! Real wood flooring (not that faux crap), washer/dryer, bigger backyard, brand new appliances...the whole nine yards. We would be fools to say no. So...it looks like we are making the move in May. I am looking at this move as a way to become even more organized. Get rid of all that crud we don't use...re-organize our life. Refresh. So we had a family meeting this weekend (me, hubby and the cat) and have decided that this move will be a new chapter for us. We are both exercising...i got contacts today so i can wear my stunner's (and by the way next i need this and this...in my dreams) this summer, got a tanning package (i am a ghost), made hair appointments, decided on our new home color scheme (which was surprisingly easy...go figure) and much more. We are also both "graduating from college" in May. I actually finished my degree last year but i wanted to wait for him to go through with the ceremony. How cute are we going to be!!! Hubbers and wife walking across the stage one right after the other! I am so excited. :-) That's mid May. Oy...much to do. And i need to stop talking about it because i'm getting stressed.

And more fun news. I know a lot of my closer scrap friends know that i used to work for the Ellen Degeneres Show. I LOVED working there. I was an intern in college and then got to finish the season out as a production assistant. It was sooooooo fun. I have so many stories about who i met and what i saw...well i could blab about it for hours but i will spare you. But i got ahold of one of my old managers there in the audience dept and he hooked me and a couple of my friends with VIP show tickets for the end of April! Waaahhoooo! I wanted to ask for like 12 tickets because i thought of at least that many people that i wanted to take...but i sure didn't want to push my luck or be greedy. So me and my momma and 2 friends are going. It will be a blast! Can't wait to find out who the guests will be. Last time i saw a taping it was Tom Cruise and then Jennifer Aniston! Both seriously petite people by the way.
